America, how it worked and why it is not working now

Our nation was founded on individual freedoms and citizen’s rights. This was intentional by our founders. They recognized the essential human traits we all share and created a government designed to bring out our best.

To start, humans are both opportunistic as well as inherently lazy. Opportunistic also includes greedy too. You can talk about your Christian beliefs and how it makes people better and while this is true we are all still sinners and do fail our beliefs often.

The founders knew that if people did not have to work for their own best interests they would not work at all. If there is a safety net that allows people to not provide for themselves, many would elect to not work. While our Christian beliefs promote charity they also promote honesty and self reliance. The founders did not want to create a state where people could essentially grift off the system.

For 200 years we seemed to be following this path where people worked and sought their own best interests. Since the advent of the welfare state created with the best of intentions and meant to assist the truly unable to work we have seen the rise of a class of citizen who have learned to finesse the system into supporting them despite their having the ability to work. Various organizations and lawyers have endeavored to bring more and more people into the welfare system. Add corrupt politicians and we now have more people in society receiving benefits than those who do not.

No honorable person would lie to receive benefits they should not. Even so, people are encouraged by both external organizations and government agents to apply for benefits all the time. As a result our ‘modern’ society is now convinced that living off the government is just fine and that everyone should do it.

No nation can economically survive if it is spending more than it takes in and we are definitely on this path and have been since the 60s. That our political leaders do not stand up and stop this lunacy is just proof that they see nothing wrong with people depending on the government instead of themselves. Worse, these politicians intentionally ignore the financial bomb that is coming.

You can argue that there is a conspiracy behind all of this and while the trend benefits those who seek socialism as a governmental system, I believe it is as likely a departure from the Christian beliefs we were founded on. In today’s forums the terms ‘Christian’ and ‘Christian values’ are essentially banned and many times considered either hate speech or discriminatory. Odd that our nation was for all intents a solely Christian society at the time of our founding and yet today, the entire notion is considered taboo.

No one is allowed to question the validity and economic sense of the programs and fiscal policy that many prominent leaders are promoting these days. No one asks hard questions about how they will balance the books. If you even raise criticisms of these plans you are labelled racist and worse. Those who promote alternate thinking contrary to the government even get arrested by the FBI.

One of the biggest problems is the greed and corruption in the deep state in DC and our state capitols. Most politicians are more concerned with attaining both political power and personal wealth at the expense of our integrity and security for our future. The founders knew that any society that looked to the leadership for their livelihoods would be fraught with corruption and you cannot argue with the fact that they were absolutely correct.

We did not get into this situation overnight. It took 60 years of a gradual decline from our values to end up where we are seriously facing bankruptcy as a nation. If the fed goes down, so will many of our states. This would be a disaster and end our prominence as a economic leader in the world. This is what many socialists want. To bring down the United States as a power house.

As an observer, I can see that our path ahead as patriots is not all that simple. Some politicians and commentators believe we can right the ship over time if we can get control and enact policies that will reverse the trends of late.

The problem is that these corrupt individuals within the political parties as well as government itself are not going anywhere even if they are ousted. They will agitate and lobby to return to the failing policies we are in at present. These people have poisoned the minds of our youth and young adults into believing that a free lunch based society is a good thing. They never mention the coming economic disaster that even they are fully aware is coming. They gloss over that ‘minor detail’ and carry on blaming the rich and those who don’t believe in giveaways as being selfish insurrectionists and revolutionaries who are bigots, racists and homophobes, islamophobes, and every other a-phobe all in their attempts to continue our corrupt and financially ruining ways.

This is not a problem a political victory or two or three or more can fix.

As I mentioned at the outset, People are flawed. Our founders knew this. People are greedy and lazy.

In order for any socialist system to work everyone has to be a civic ‘angel’ and act and behave as virtuously as possible all the time for their socialist utopia to work at all. Anyone who reverts to basic human conditions such as greed and self interest can corrupt and take the socialist utopia down. In order for a socialist society to survive this must be controlled and stopped.

This is why socialist societies have such strict controls over the people. China has social quotients for its citizens and if you do not have a ‘high enough’ score you don’t get health care or you cannot travel or you cannot buy a car or live in certain areas. This flies in the face of our heritage of freedom and yet we are running pell mell right into a system not at all unlike this. The current trend of online censorship is just the beginning of the institution of controls not unlike China’s.

The current assaults on people who identify as MAGA supporters as well as being Patriots are examples of the government enacting ‘social credit scoring’ without announcing it directly. If you oppose the cabal that is the corrupt government you will be harassed and potentially arrested and put in jail and especially if you make enough noise and stir up a big enough group of people.

Our founders lived in a society like I am describing when we were colonies. Back then you had to agree and support the crown in order to do business and trade. People who opposed the rule of the crown were arrested and harassed by the British military on a regular basis. Your rights were at the behest of the King. They fought a revolution in order to break away from this and to my way of thinking our times make the times of colonial America look like a cake walk. We are suffering much higher degrees of control and limitations than our colonial brethren did back then. We have active searching of our personal information and online activities. We have active police investigations of people who speak or act in ways that the deep state disapproves of. We see the active censorship of videos and online forums by the government via the various agencies of the federal and some state governments. We are under a much more serious attack on our personal freedoms than at any time in our nation’s history. The war upon freedom and financial security is well underway.

So ask yourself: Do you think we can politically correct our present situation? Seriously?

I hate to think of where this can go if 100 million citizens decide that socialism is not what they want and then they act to demonstrate their disagreement.

in the 1700’s The King of England had lands literally all over the earth. Further, Britain was in a long term war with France when we declared our independence. We won in large part because the crown had its military assets scattered across the planet and could not focus their entire might on our revolt.

If something like this happens today, our federal government has nowhere near as many distractions and can bring the total force of our military down upon our people if they seek to quell any uprising.

The only major difference is our military is a volunteer force. The British was a force that combined elite professionals who fully supported the crown and conscripts who made up a large portion of their ground troops. All owed their livelihoods to the crown. They had no compunction against killing colonists if need be.

Perhaps our citizen soldiers will have second thoughts before firing upon Americans?????

Let’s hope so if it comes to this.
